Former police commander Glavič denies political interference
Ljubljana – Former head of the Ljubljana Police Administration Boštjan Glavič denied he had been under political pressure on the job as he was interviewed on Friday by the parliamentary commission investigating suspicion of political interference in police. He also discussed developments after the 25 June protest and removal of the Yellow Jackets.

Bulgaria to Appoint 3000 New Police Officers
Bulgaria's outgoing Interior Minister Rumyana Bachvarova has said as many as 3000 police officers will be appointed by the end of the year as part of government plans to crack down on petty crime.
Former police and military officers' ranks will be used to recruit the staff, she has told the Bulgarian National Television.

Hanefi Avcı blames Gülen movement, government for Balyoz, Ergenekon cases
Former police chief Hanefi Avcı has censured the Fethullah Gülen movement and the government in an interview with daily Hürriyet following his release from prison.
Avcı was sentenced to 15 years in jail for a book he wrote and was released June 20 after three years and eight months in prison, after a ruling by the Chief Prosecutorâs Office of the Supreme Court of Appeals.
