Amin Maalouf to meet with Turkish readers
Institut Français Turkey will bring together the world's leading author Amin Maalouf with his Turkish readers in an online event.
Amin Maalouf, a contemporary Lebanese novelist whose books have been translated into more than 40 languages, will be attending the Literature Hall online event.
The event will take place on the Zoom platform on April 28.

Ambassador Luca Niculescu awards in Paris Grand Prix of Francophone Ambassadors to diplomat Claude Martin
The Romanian Ambassador to France Luca Niculescu, Chairman of the Group of Francophone Ambassadors in France (GFA), on Thursday night awarded the Grand Prix of GFA to the French diplomat Claude Martin for the latter's book "Diplomacy is not a gala dinner" / "La diplomatie n'est pas un diner de gala".
August 19 - World Photography Day
August 19 marks the 179th anniversary of photography being recognized by the French Academy of Sciences and Fine Arts.
On August 19, 1839, the official presentation of the photographic process by Louis Dager was made to the French Academy of Sciences and Fine Arts. The French Government purchases the patent and immediately makes it public.

Mate Djordjevic's art to be featured at two galleries
BELGRADE - Painter Nemanja Mate Djordjevic will present his works from the Children's Rooms cycle at 7 pm Wednesday at the ULUS gallery in Belgrade, with another exhibition by the same author, titled Psoriasis, to open just an hour later at the Graficki kolektiv gallery.
The author sees opening two exhibitions on the same day on two different locations like "meeting your double".
Paskaljevic wins Sofia award
SOFIA - Serbian director Goran Paskaljevic will receive the Sofia award for contribution to the world cinematography at the 18th international film festival in Sofia which will take place from March 6 to 16.
