Turkey plans to increase speed limits on highways
Authorities are considering increasing speed limits on Turkey's highways, starting with newly built roads, Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu has said.
Currently, the speed limit for passenger cars on highways is 120 kilometers per hour (km/h). It is 100 km/h for buses and 90 km/h for trucks.

A caracal, which is in danger of extinction, has been photographed by motion-triggered camera, placed by in the field by Yasin İlemin, an academic in the western province of Muğla.

Turkey earns some $32 mln in public bridge, highway tolls in January
Turkey earned over 189.5 million liras (some $32 million) in tolls in January, official figures revealed on Feb. 25.
The July 15 Martyrs' Bridge and the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge in Istanbul, connecting Europe and Asia over the Bosphorus, yielded over 39 million Turkish liras ($6.6 million) last month, according to the General Directorate of Highways.
