A 6.6-magnitude earthquake was reported off the southern Philippine island of Mindanao, according to a France press report citing data from the US Geological Survey.

No injuries or casualties have been reported so far, but local authorities expect such information to be received.

And the Geological Institute says creating landslide records (cadasters) requires money for more work to be done in the field.

Dobrica Damnjanovic of the Geological Institute told public broadcaster RTS that landslides have always been a threat after precipitation, especially in early beginning of spring, and that they put roads, houses and infrastructure at danger.

Active landslides on both sides of drainage gullies are becoming more and more dangerous to flood-stricken Asparuhovo district in Bulgaria's Varna, an expert believes.
