Corlatean on genocide against Armenians: Romania preferred to encourage dialogue between Turkey and Armenia
Former Foreign Affairs Minister Titus Corlatean, currently honorary adviser to the Prime Minister, on Thursday said that Romania had a "wise attitude" and preferred to encourage the dialogue between Turkey and Armenia concerning the "extremely delicate" topic of "the genocide" against Armenians.

Cyprus protesters demand end to 'devastating' austerity
Several thousand demonstrators in Cyprus called on Wednesday for an end to government austerity policies which they say have driven many in the bailed-out country to poverty.
Wednesday?s protest ? a day ahead of a European Central Bank meeting on the island on Thursday ? urged for more spending on job creation policies as opposed to cuts to reduce debt.

BELGRADE -- European Parliament Rapporteur on Serbia David McAllister has "welcomed the reform measures the Serbian government" during his meeting with PM Aleksandar Vucic.
The German MEP also said on Thursday that Serbia's progress on its EU path in 2015 was "not only possible, but also realistic."

German MEP Will Run in Greek EU Elections
A German liberal MEP declared he would run for a Greek party he founded to protest over austerity policies applied to Athens.
"I've always felt torn between the two... the German side of my heart is so ashamed," Jorgo Chatzimarkakis, who has Greek roots, was quoted as saying by the EUObserver.

A German MEP has leveled criticism at the recent amendments to Bulgaria's National Audit Office Act.
"Bulgaria is making itself weak through the changes to the National Audit Office Act," said Ingeborg Graessle, Coordinator of the EPP group in the Committee on Budgetary Control, at a press conference, as cited by money.bg.
