The Greek National Opera Ballet is set to stage a 'sensitive and minimalist' new take on Leo Delibes' comic ballet 'Coppelia,' in a production choreographed by the multi-award-winning Edward Clug and with additional music by Milko Lazar that opens on May 12.

"From Russia With Love" is a Greek National Opera tribute to Igor Stravinsky, which sees three acclaimed choreographers presenting their own takes on three pieces he composed for impresario Sergei Diaghilev, creator of the Ballets Russes in Paris.

Acclaimed contemporary chorographer Constantinos Rigos has been named the new director of the Greek National Opera Ballet, the company announced on Tuesday.

The Greek National Opera has plenty in store for audiences this summer, with a host of new and unexpected productions, among others.
