Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held security consultations at the Defense Ministry Monday night to discuss the response of Israel to the armed attack by Hezbollah drone strike on Sunday and the retaliation in Iran.

Hezbollah said it targeted an Israeli naval base on Monday, a day after a drone strike killed four soldiers in the deadliest attack on Israel since the war in Lebanon began.

Hezbollah Drone Attacks The Lebanese armed group Hezbollah announced that it launched a series of drone attacks on military targets today in Galilee, northern Israel.

Lebanon's Iran-backed Hezbollah movement said Saturday it had targeted northern Israel with drones and guided missiles after cross-border Israeli strikes killed three people, including two of its members.

As many as 136 UN workers have lost their lives in the last 75 days in the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas while several employees of the world body have been forced out of their homes, the United Nations Secretary General, Antonio Guterrres said. Guterres said that no one has ever seen such number of casualties of the UN staff in the history of the world organisation.

 Thirteen Israeli soldiers were killed in fighting inside the Gaza Strip early Sunday as troops pressed a ground offensive to destroy militant tunnels, an army spokeswoman said.        

"Thirteen soldiers from the Golani Brigade were killed in Gaza overnight," she told AFP, without giving further details.
