Greek Foreign Ministry issues warning about travel to Sudan
Greece's Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Saturday issued an advisory for travel to Sudan after fighting broke out between the military and a paramilitary force in the capital, Khartoum.
"In view of the security situation in Sudan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises Greek citizens to avoid non-essential travel to the country," the statement said.
Greece welcomes Egypt's mediation in Libya
Greece's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has welcomed Egypt's initiative to mediate for peace in civil-war-torn Libya.
"We welcome Egypt's new initiative to resolve the Libyan Gordian knot," the ministry's sunday announcement says.

Alexandros Yennimatas named Foreign Ministry spokesman
Alexandros Yennimatas has been appointed spokesman of Greece's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was announced Friday.
Born in Belgium in 1980, Yennimatas has been active in the Greek diplomatic service since 2005.
He has previously served in the Permanent Mission of Greece to the United Nations and the Embassy of Greece in Tel Aviv.
