Greek committee

The Greek committee of experts advising the government on the pandemic approved the use of colchicine, an inexpensive drug for treating gout, to be included in the protocol of patients with Covid-19, following the results of a Canadian study in which Greece participated.

The Technical Chamber of Greece and Vertical Solutions SA are holding the second Athens Investment Forum, titled "The Greek Economy in the New Era of Investments and Growth," on Wednesday, in cooperation with the Hellenic Institute for Entrepreneurship & Sustainable Development and the Greek committee of the World Energy Council.

A Greek committee on Thursday approved the granting of political asylum to the third of eight Turkish servicemen who fled to Greece following a failed coup in Turkey two years ago.

All eight servicemen were released from administrative custody in May and are in a secret location to ensure their safety.

A Greek prosecutor has ordered an investigation into allegations of financial mismanagement in the local branch of UNICEF.
