Minister announces two new bike lanes for Athens

Town of Karditsa boasts Thessaly's first car recharging station
Karditsa in central Greece has installed Thessaly's first charging station for electric vehicles. The station's units feature double sockets, allowing them to charge two vehicles at the same time.
However, users will have to use their own cables to charge up. Financial support for the project was provided by the Green Fund.
EU-funded environmental protection project launched
Conservationists in Greece expect to receive a big boost after the launch of a major European Union-funded program related to the protection of the Mediterranean country's natural environment and biodiversity.

Buildings demolished in the Peloponnese
Authorities demolished 20 illegal buildings on the beaches of Achaia in the Peloponnese over the last few days, it was revealed on Friday.
In some cases the court orders for the demolition had been issued 20 years ago.
