Greece bids for EuroBasket
The Hellenic Basketball Federation (EOK) has officially submitted its bid to host the 2029 EuroBasket to the International Basketball Federation (FIBA).
Greece is requesting to host both a group stage and the final phase of the tournament, with other contenders including Slovenia and Slovakia. There are also rumors of a joint bid from Serbia and Turkey.

Sports Digest: Missas is the new Greece coach
BASKETBALL: The Hellenic Basketball Federation confirmed on Tuesday the hiring of experienced coach Costas Missas to guide the national team starting with the 2017 Eurobasket this fall. On July 25 he will issue his first call-up of players.
