British lawmakers approve post-Brexit trade deal with EU
Britain's Parliament voted resoundingly on Dec. 30 to approve a trade deal with the European Union, paving the way for an orderly break with the bloc that will finally complete the U.K.'s long and divisive Brexit journey.
With just a day to spare, lawmakers in the House of Commons voted 521-73 in favor of the agreement sealed between the U.K. government and the EU last week.

British lawmakers have voted to reinstate a controversial section of a bill which could allow them to break international law after Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced he will travel to Brussels to break a deadlock in post-Brexit negotiations.
Queen approves Brexit Bill
The Brexit Bill was approved by the UK Parliament earlier this week after the House of Commons rejected amendments tabled by the House of Lords.

The UK is Ready to Leave the EU on January 31st
The UK is ready to leave the EU on January 31st. This was announced by Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
After the Brexit bill was approved by the House of Commons, it was also voted on by the House of Lords on Wednesday. The document must now be signed by Queen Elizabeth. This is expected to happen today or tomorrow, after which it will enter into force.

The British Government is Considering Moving the House of Lords Outside London
British Conservatives announced yesterday that the government is considering moving the House of Lords - the the upper house of the British Parliament - outside of London to re-establish voter relations, DPA reported.
UK lower chamber passes EU withdrawal bill
The U.K. House of Commons on Jan. 9 approved the EU Withdrawal Bill after its final reading, paving the way for full legislation.
The bill based on Prime Minister Boris Johnson's revised deal was passed by MPs in a 330 to 231 votes with a majority of 99.
It is expected to complete the House of Lords stages without major disagreements and to wait for Royal assent to become law.

Countdown: Brexit Schedule is Ready
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson will present the Brexit bill to lawmakers today.
In the meantime, his government has set a timetable for ratifying the EU exit deal. It must be approved by the Lower House by January 9th. The agreement is then to be ratified by the House of Lords.

The UK Parliament Announced its Suspension
The UK Parliament announced its suspension at midnight, 25 days before the upcoming elections.
The dissolution of Parliament means that the House of Commons and the House of Lords cease to exist. The new House of Commons will be elected on December 12, while the Lords will retain their positions.
