Justice Minister’s Dismissal Puts Romanian Coalition at Risk
The dismissal of the Justice Minister, Stelian Ion, on Wednesday by Prime Minister Florin Citu may trigger the break-up of the governing coalition in Romania and a major political crisis in the country.
Prime Minister Florin Citu announced the dismissal of Ion from the Justice Ministry, saying that he will not accept ministers in the government opposed to Romania's development.

Romania Arrests Suspected Defacer of Hungarian Road Signs
Romanian police have arrested a 30-year-old man from Bacau County in northeast Romania for defacing Hungarian-language signs in four towns in neighbouring Harghita County, the Romanian news agency Mediafax reported on Monday.

Romanian Parliament to Hold No-Confidence Vote
Romania's parliament is set to vote on Wednesday on a no-confidence motion on the government led by the ruling Social Democratic Party, PSD - a motion launched by the PSD itself.
The vote comes after the PSD's failed negotiations with the country's ethnic Hungarian party, the Democratic Union of Hungarians in Romania, UDMR, sparked nationalist reactions from some politicians.
