Confiscations target state debtors with small arrears
Over 3.3 million taxpayers owe the tax authorities amounts of less than 3,000 euros each. According to figures published by the Independent Authority for Public Revenue, the state conducted 1.72 million confiscations of salaries, pensions and rent payments last year, mostly concerning small debtors.
Taxation discussion in Athens on March 28
The French-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIFHEL) is organizing a round-table discussion in Athens, titled "Recent Developments in Issues of Corporate Taxation and Procedures," to take place on Wednesday, March 28.
The keynote speaker will be the head of the Independent Authority for Public Revenue, Giorgos Pitsilis.

Over 700 confiscations are made every day
Tax authorities in Greece carried out confiscations of salaries, pensions and properties from more than 17,500 taxpayers in January, while debts to the state and social security funds continued to pile up.
