Foreign bank cards can now be used to pay taxes
Taxpayers can now use foreign-issued bank cards to pay their taxes online, the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) has announced.
The AADE said that Visa and Mastercard cards issued by foreign banks can also be used to pay the ENFIA property tax, administrative fees, boat taxes, among others.

Excise officials shut down gas station for two years over adulterated fuel
Excise officials have ordered a gas station to close for two years after finding it was selling adulterated fuel and had an illegal storage tank.
In a statement, the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) said that during an on-site inspection, its officers found a parked tanker which was about to deliver fuel to the filling station's tanks.
Mobile app for invoice issue
Taxpayers and businesses will be able to issue invoices and consignment notes through their cellphones, while at the same time they will be able to make tax payments.
Essentially, the company's accounting will be in an app designed by the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE), which will be activated within the year.

Stricter penalties for non-use of POS
The Economy and Finance Ministry on Thursday submitted a provision to parliament which aims to increase fines and impose sanctions against business that have yet to install POS terminals linked to cash registers.
The plan also foresees fines for providers of POS terminals and cash registries who do not comply with the law.
