Türkiye's defense industry has reached 70 percent domestic production capacity in 2024, according to the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen's Association (MÜSİAD) Türkiye Defense Industry 2024 report.

Global companies prefer Türkiye as production, export and their management centers, Trade Minister Ömer Bolat has said.

Türkiye offers many opportunities in different sectors where it has a competitive advantage, Bolat said in a speech he delivered at an event organized by the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen's Association (MÜSİAD) in Istanbul.

Inflation is high but is moving in line with the economic program, Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek has said, adding that under the current expectations, the decline in inflation will continue.

The sharp decline in the inflation rate will continue in coming months, Treasury and Finance Minister Nureddin Nebati has said, calling on businesses to support efforts to rein in inflation by freezing and reducing prices.

In its fourth meeting, the Price Stability Committee vowed to fight soaring inflation rates with "new policies to achieve security of supply against excessive price hikes," according to a statement released by the Treasury and Finance Ministry late on April 5.

The Independent Industrialists and Businessmen's Association (MÜSİAD) has launched a campaign dubbed "year of investment."

Business representatives have expressed their appreciation for Turkey's new economic reform package aimed at boosting investment, production, jobs, and exports.

Working on an ambitious slate of economic and legal reforms, top Turkish officials on Dec. 4 met with key business leaders.
