A new survey shows that the centre-right Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria, GERB, is likely to win Sunday's early elections.

The party is predicted to win 98 of the 240 seats in parliament, 32 more seats than the Bulgarian Socialist Party BSP, likely to come second with 66 seats.

Bulgaria's next Parliament is likely to consist of 7-8 parties or coalitions, according to a poll of the Institute of Modern Politics (IMP).

Bulgaria’s opposition center-right GERB party would have won 27.2% of the vote if parliamentary elections were held last Friday.

The figure is well ahead of the results for the ruling Socialists, who would have gathered 13.5% of the ballots cast.

Only some 15.1% of Bulgarians approve of the work of the President, according to a study conducted between 1 -12 April 2014 by the Institute of Modern Politics.
