The United Nations' refugee and migration agencies on Friday criticized Greece's failure over the past year to shed light on one of the worst migrant shipwrecks in the Mediterranean Sea that left hundreds dead.

There's just a couple of days left to catch the exhibition "Light on the Move" by two-time Pulitzer Prize winning photographer Muhammed Muheisen, organized by the UN's IOM migration agency at the Museum of Cycladic Art in Athens through Thursday.

EU leaders ended a heated debate about handling migration at 4.30am Friday by accepting Italy's demand for more help in handling the burden and agreeing in principle to set up "disembarkation platforms" to process asylum seekers outside the EU and closed processing centres within the EU.

EU leaders also agreed to spend more money helping African countries curb migration.
