Iranian Cyber Group APT42 Tried to Breach Biden and Trump Campaign Emails

A hacking group with ties to Iran has attempted to infiltrate the personal email accounts of over 10 individuals connected to the US headquarters of Joe Biden and Donald Trump. The group, known as APT42, has reportedly targeted current and former US government employees, as well as campaign associates of both politicians.

In the latest escalation of tensions, the United States conducted another series of strikes against targets associated with Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in eastern Syria. According to U.S. Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin, these strikes, authorized by President Joe Biden, targeted a training facility and a safe house near the cities of Abu Kamal and Mayadin.
