Israel Court Rejects Request for Bosnia War Deals Data

A court ruling in Jerusalem to reject a request for information about defence exports to the former Yugoslavia during the 1990s Bosnian war has once again raised questions over the alleged use of Israeli military equipment by Bosnian Serb forces during the conflict, BIRN was told by the two Israelis who made the legal request.

Macedonia Opposition Leader Faces New Charges

Macedonia's opposition Social Democrat leader Zoran Zaev faces fresh criminal charges after being charged with attempted blackmail and for soliciting bribery already.

Now he faces a third charge, of revealing state secrets, after publishing wiretapped conversations which he claimed contained the voice of secret police chief, Saso Mijalkov.
