Academic walked 7,500 km in Siberia to reveal origin of Turks
A Turkish academic has revealed that the Andronovo culture forms the roots of the Turks after walking nearly 7,500 kilometers in Russia, Turkic states, China, and Mongolia in a month within the scope of her comprehensive field research and study.
Turkey faces second hottest July in last 51 years
Turkey witnessed the second hottest July last month, according to data by the State Meteorological Service.

For years, the average temperature in July across the country has been 24.5 degrees Celsius, whereas this July, temperature climbed up by 1.8 degrees Celsius, reaching 26.3 degrees Celsius.

Nearly 15,000 Syrians receiving education in Turkish universities
Nearly 15,000 Syrians are enrolled in Turkish universities as of the 2016-2017 academic year, Higher Education Board (YÖK) head Yekta Saraç has said.
One thirds of Syrian university students are women and the rest are men, while 3,473 Syrian students in the country are receiving education as a part of the special "Turkey Scholarship" program, Saraç added.
