Türkiye obtains $270 mln additional funding for quake relief
Türkiye has secured an additional 250 million euros ($270,540) in funding from the Council of Europe Development Bank as part of reconstruction efforts in regions affected by last year's earthquakes in the country's south, Finance and Treasury Minister Mehmet Şimşek has announced.
Djedovic Handanovic: Japan interested in financing reversible hydropower plant
BELGRADE - At a meeting with Japanese Ambassador to Belgrade Akira Imamura, Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic said a feasibility study for the Bistrica reversible hydropower plant project had been completed and that the costs of building the facility were estimated at over 1 bln euros.
Japanese agency provides financing for quake relief
The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is providing loans of up to 20 billion yen ($139 million) to support micro, small and medium-sized enterprises that were affected by the February earthquakes.
The loan agreement was signed between JICA and the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization of Türkiye (KOSGEB) in the capital Ankara.
Djedovic meets with new Japanese ambassador
BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Djedovic met with Japan's new Ambassador to Serbia Akira Imamura on Monday to discuss joint projects in energy and environmental protection.

Turkish, Japanese students meet in online seminar
Turkish and Japanese students spoke about cultural values during an online seminar held on June 16.
Japanese Ambassador Akio Miyajima also attended the seminar, which was promoted by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Turkish-Japanese Foundation.

Albanian authorities hope that the new Japanese embassy in Tirana will help economic exchanges between two countries grow and encourage Japanese businesses to invest in Albania.
The ribbon-cutting ceremonial opening of the embassy was performed by the Albanian Foreign Minister, Ditmir Bushati, and by Japan's Minister for Foreign Affairs, Nobuo Kishi, on Monday.
