A Natsu Matsuri summer festival occurred late last week in Athens' public Japanese Park, in the Pangrati neighborhood. The event, which brought together Athenian locals, tourists, and Japanese people, is rooted in the Shinto tradition and is meant to honor the spirits of the people's ancestors.
Greek diplomats in London rack up £1.6 mln in unpaid congestion charge fees
Greece's embassy in London has clocked up £1.6 million in unpaid congestion charge fees, new figures have shown.
Statistics published by Transport for London (TfL) revealed that the Greek embassy ranks 24th in the list of embassies owing the most in unpaid charges in the British capital and sixth among the European Union countries.
Greek-Japan Year of Culture and Tourism
The start of the 2024 Greek-Japan Year of Culture and Tourism was officially launched on Thursday at a Japanese Embassy event in Athens on the occasion of the celebration of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan Naruhito's birthday, to which Greek Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni was invited.

Four Japanese films to be screened in Ljubljana
Ljubljana – A screening of Iwane: Sword of Serenity will kick-start the Summer Days of Japanese Film, a mini festival of four contemporary films organised this week by Kino Bežigrad cinema and the Japanese Embassy. Tickets are available free of charge for all four films, which will be screened at Kino Bežigrad at 3:30pm until Friday.

Japanese Minister: We May Need to Dump Radioactive Water from Fukushima into the Ocean
Tokyo Electric Power Company will have to dispose of the radioactive water from the destroyed Fukushima nuclear power plant in the Pacific Ocean as the company's storage capacity is running low, Japanese Environment Minister Yoshiaki Harada said.
