Japanese Embassy in Athens

The Japanese Embassy in Athens presents "The Power of Music," a tribute to Japanese cinema consisting of four films which will be screened at the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation in their original language with Greek and English subtitles. The festival begins at 7.30 p.m.

The Japanese Embassy in Athens presents Tokyo's Izena Folk Theater, a professional dance company dedicated to introducing the culture and traditions of the Amami and Ryukyu islands to the world. The ensemble performs two shows at the Athens Concert Hall on Monday and Tuesday that illustrate the regions' cultural wealth. Shows start at 8 p.m. and tickets cost 10 and 15 euros.

The Japanese Embassy in Athens and the Japan Foundation present a mini-festival of films dedicated to the art of food, titled "Eating - Loving - Living," at the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation. The event comprises critically acclaimed films from Japan, with both English and Greek subtitles.

The Japanese government is awarding scholarships to Greeks who want to study at universities in Japan. The programs are for undergraduate students aged between 17 and 22, as well as research students up to the age of 35.
