Turkish parliament revokes seat of opposition HDP MP
Turkey's parliament on March 17 revoked the seat of an opposition Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) lawmaker.
The action came in light of a court ruling on Ömer Faruk Gergerlioğlu, which was read out in parliament.
Turkish political parties urge US to revoke sanctions over S-400s
In a joint declaration on Dec. 15, Turkish political parties urged the U.S. to revoke its decision to impose sanctions on Turkey over its acquisition of the Russian S-400 missile defense system.
"We reject the U.S. sanctions decision that was announced on Dec. 14, 2020. Turkey never hesitates to take any step necessary to protect its national security," read the declaration.
