Kosovo’s Constitutional Court

Kosovo’s Constitutional Court ruled that the Supreme Court must review the case against ten ex-members of the Kosovo Liberation Army’s ‘Drenica Group’ who were convicted of crimes against civilians during the 1998-99 war.

The Specialist Chamber of Kosovo’s Constitutional Court approved the revised rules of procedure and evidence for the new special court that will try Kosovo wartime fighters.

After Kosovo’s Constitutional Court said some of its procedural rules are not in in line with the constitution, the new specialist court to try Kosovo wartime fighters must make changes, again delaying prosecutions.

Kosovo’s Constitutional Court is due to hold a hearing session on Thursday when the two major political blocs will present additional arguments on which one has the right to nominate a candidate for the post of speaker of the Assembly.
