Greece introduces new unemployment benefit structure with pilot program
The National Economy and Finance Ministry on Monday signed a joint ministerial agreement with the Labor and Social Insurance Ministry that will introduce a new form of unemployment benefit, initially on a pilot basis.
Minimum wage bill posted for public consultation
A bill on establishing the minimum wage for 2025, 2026 and 2027 was posted for public consultation on Tuesday. The draft law was submitted by the Labor and Social Insurance Ministry and will remain posted until November 21.
Currently, the minimum wage is set at 830 euros, an increase of 28% compared to 2019.

Tsipras visits Labor Ministry to discuss problems, funding
Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras was visiting the Labor and Social Insurance Ministry on Monday as part of a tour of all ministries aimed at addressing the particular problems they address and indicating that his government is addressing the everyday problems of citizens.

Greek auxiliary pensions to drop by over 5 pct this summer
Greeces Single Auxiliary Social Security Fund (ETEA) has told the Labor and Social Insurance Ministry it is planning to cut auxiliary pensions by 5.2 percent as of July 1, a move which will affect over 1 million pensioners from the public and private sectors.
