The well-known compromise that Boris Johnson reached with the EU reminds us of the Greek case.

That includes a proud negotiation, the degradation of Parliament, national divisions, the targeting of those opposed to his plans, and then a final compromise.

Corbyn, Farage and Sturgeon Have All Opposed the New Brexit Deal

Britain's main opposition formation - the Labor Party - cannot support the Brexit deal agreed between the European Union and the British government today, said its leader Jeremy Corbyn, quoted by Reuters and France press.

"From what we know, it seems the Prime Minister has negotiated an even worse deal than Theresa May's, which was overwhelmingly rejected.

EC: The European Union Ready for No-Deal Brexit

The European Commission has said that the European Union is ready for Brexit without a deal and that such a variant would most likely hurt the UK, Reuters reported.

The Commission does not currently consider it necessary to take any further steps to prepare for such a scenario, EC spokeswoman Natasha Bertaud said at a briefing.

Boris Johnson's First speech as PM

The new British prime minister, Boris Johnson, will give a speech to parliament. It is expected that the main focus will be the strategy for Brexit.

Johnson will also answer MPs' questions. He has already formed his new cabinet by giving key ministries of prominent supporters of leaving the UK to the EU.
