Preliminary results: After Putin - Putin
This was shown by the results of the Central Election Commission, based on 60.18 percent of the counted votes.
The Communist Party won 20.88 percent of the vote, followed by the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia with 7.89, Fair Russia with 7.54 and New People with 5.77 percent of voters, reports TASS.

Ruling Party in Russia Secures Majority in Parliament
United Russia party of Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has gained a stable majority in Parliament's lower house after the general election held on Sunday, official results indicate.
The same four parties that made up the previous State Duma have also entered the current one.
With 90% of ballot protocols processed, the party wins 54.21% of the vote for the 450-seat Parliament.

Turkey's Foreign Ministry has summoned the Russian ambassador in Ankara to complain about protests against Turkish missions and businesses in Russia following Turkey's downing of a Russian jet.
A Foreign Ministry statement said on Nov. 26 that Turkish offices had come under "unacceptable" physical attacks disguised as protests.
