A total of 97 irregular migrants on a rubber boat which was about to sink off in the Eastern Mediterranean, were rescued by joint efforts of Turkish Naval Forces and Libyan Coast Guard, according to security sources on May 14.

The TCG Gaziantep frigate, on duty off Libya, detected a rubber boat with irregular migrants 28 miles off Khoms Port on May 13.

At least 123 irregular migrants were recently rescued off the coast of Libya's capital Tripoli by the joint efforts of the Turkish military and Libyan Coast Guard, military sources said on May 2. 

Migrants would head towards Europe from ships off the coast of Libya.
Considering the fact that war is currently raging in Libya, it is realistic to expect that more and more people will try to cross the Mediterranean, heading to Europe, "Vecernji list" reports.
Along with refugees from Libya, a wave of migrants from other African countries is also expected.

The staff of Turkish Navy frigate TCG Gaziantep, which is on a Mediterranean duty to support NATO's Operation Sea Guardian, rescued 30 migrants on a drifting dingy off Libya.

Spotting the unregistered migrants on the boat, the frigate intervened.
