Tušmobil case statute barred

Ljubljana – The case of Tušmobil focusing on the telecoms company’s acquisition of mobile telephony spectrum free of charge in 2006 and 2008, has become statute barred for all suspects, including former Tušmobil owner Mirko Tuš and the regulator’s ex-director Tomaž Simonič.

Top court annuls rulings unfavourable to Swiss franc loan borrowers

Ljubljana – The Constitutional Court has annulled rulings by two courts that rejected borrowers’ request for annulment of contracts on loans in Swiss francs and for a refund of overpayments, in what is the first decision of Slovenia’s top court related to issue of Swiss franc loans.

Slovenian consumers claim EUR 27.5 million from Apple in class-action lawsuit

Ljubljana – Kolektiv 99, an NGO for protecting consumer and workers’ rights, has announced that it has filed a class-action lawsuit, claiming EUR 27.5 million from US multinational corporation Apple for damages allegedly caused to Slovenian consumers by deliberately slowing down and reducing the functionality of certain iPhone models.

Man gets three years for robbing rectory in Višnja Gora

Ljubljana – The Ljubljana District Court has sentenced a 40-year-old man to three years in prison for the robbery of the rectory in Višnja Gora in December last year. Milenko Hudorovac pleaded guilty at the beginning of the trial, but then changed his mind and denied guilt until the end of the proceedings, Dnevnik reports.

Telemach suing Telekom Slovenije for almost EUR 30m

Ljubljana – The telecommunications provider Telemach has filed a lawsuit at the Ljubljana District Court against telecoms incumbent Telekom Slovenije over alleged violations of regulatory decisions, demanding the payment of EUR 28.796 million in damages with default interest from 1 June until payment.
