The Repairs on Bulgaria Blvd in Sofia are Postponed
Sofia's Bulgaria Blvd will remain in its present form despite the municipality's plans to repair it before the start of the Bulgarian EU Council Presidency. Reports Mediapool.
Local government will consider whether to begin rehabilitation next year. This was made clear by the words of the mayor of the capital Yordanka Fandakova, quoted by Focus.
Montenegrin Resort to Exhibit St. Leopold's Remains

Serbia to introduce electronic records of its citizens
Two Serbian ministries have signed an agreement to establish electronic records about Serbian citizens.
The agreement on technical and business cooperation was signed by Minister of Internal Affairs Nebojsa Stefanovic and Minister of State Administration Branko Ruzic.
Five tower blocks in Camden to be evacuated over cladding
More than 800 homes in tower blocks on a council estate in Camden, north London, are be evacuated because of safety concerns over cladding in the aftermath of the Grenfell Tower fire.
Camden Council says residents in flats in five towers on the Chalcots estate will be moved for “urgent fire safety works”.

Serbian President Aleksander Vucic has nominated Ana Brnabic as the country's next prime minister, making her the first openly gay premier in the Balkan region and the first Serbian woman in the top job.

Bulgaria's Debt in 2016 Accounts for 29.5% of GDP
According to preliminary data of the National Statistical Institute (NSI), released on Monday, Bulgaria's debt in 2016 totalled BGN 27,321M, or 29.5% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
A budget surplus of BGN 30M (0.03% of the GDP) was reported in the State Government sector.

Kosovo Hesitates to Demolish Serb Wall In North
Kosovo government officials have yet to explain what they plan to do with the two-metre-high wall that Kosovo Serbs have erected on the northern side of the Ibar river in the divided northern town of Mitrovica.
A resolution issued by the Kosovo parliament on December 23 ordered "the demolition of the illegal wall in the northern part of Mitrovica to happen within January 2017".

Mustafa Calls Serbia's Role in Kosovo 'Destructive'
The ethnic Serbian party in Kosovo's coalition government, Srpska Lista, on Wednesday stated that following a request from Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, it would again freeze its participation in Kosovo institutions.
The party also said that Mirjana Jevtic, who last week replaced Ljubomir Maric as Minister for Local Government, will resign from her post.
Bosnian Serbs Make Concession on Disputed Holiday
After hours of heated debate, the Republika Srpska National Assembly passed a law on Tuesday declaring that the disputed Day of Republika Srpska will continue to be held on January 9 - the day on which the entity was founded in 1992 - but that it will be a secular event.
Observing the holiday will also not be mandatory for non-Serbs living in the entity.
