Lufthansa, the renowned German airline, has announced the cancellation of all flights from Sofia to Frankfurt and Munich scheduled for Wednesday, citing a ground staff strike as the cause.

German airline Lufthansa has announced that it will suspend flights to the Ukrainian capital Kyiv from tomorrow due to growing fears of a Russian invasion.

The airline said it would also suspend flights to Odessa, a key Black Sea port.

"The safety of our passengers and crew is our top priority at all times," Lufthansa said.

A Bulgarian baby was born on board of Lufthansa aircraft. Little Nikolay was born on a flight from Bogota to Frankfurt high above the clouds and the Atlantic Ocean, the airline has said, according to BGNES.

The mother and baby are feeling well.

German airline Lufthansa has struck a deal to solve a bitter labor dispute with pilots that over five years has cost it an estimated half a billion dollars and more than a dozen strikes.
