Macedonia Gives Up Paper Money
Macedonia began the gradual withdrawal of paper money from circulation. First, the country will withdraw the denominations of 10 and 50 denars, which are the most used in payments in the country, the Macedonian central bank said.

Macedonia Govt Proposes Biggest Ever Budget
Macedonia's government proposed a rebalanced budget that enters parliament procedure on Thursday, which foresees increased spending of ?85 million and increased revenue of ?58 million.

Macedonia Tells Banks To Pull Cash From Greece
Macedonia's central bank has told the commercial banks to pull their money out of banks in Greece as a "preventive measure", after Greece's international creditors refused to extend bailouts to Athens.
As a result, Greece has closed its banks to prevent a mass withdrawal of savings.

Greece's neighbors take measures to shield banks, economies
Greece's regional neighbors took measures Monday to protect their banks and economies from the escalating financial crisis there and the possibility of a Greek exit from the euro.
Athens on Sunday announced capital controls following a collapse in bailout negotiations with its creditors, which will see banks closed temporarily and international transfers vetted.

The recording released amid a tense election campaign in Macedonia comes a day after opposition Social Democrats accused Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski of taking a bribe of €1.5 million for expediting the sale of Makedonska Banka AD to Serbian businessman Jovica Stefanovic, aka “Gazda Nini” ["Boss Nini"] in 2004.
