Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, the President of the Republic of North Macedonia, will make her first official visit to Bulgaria this Friday since assuming office in May, according to Macedonian media reports. During her visit, Siljanovska will attend a performance by the Macedonian Opera and Ballet in Sofia, featuring Giuseppe Verdi's "Nabucco."

The Macedonian government has decided to oblige all institutions to change their public names in the name of the state, in line with amendments to the Constitution, the Constitutional Law on the Implementation of Amendments and the Law on the Use of Languages, reported the Bulgarian National Television. 

Several hundred people led by Gruevski and other high-ranking VMRO DPMNE party members protested on Tuesday amid a heavy police presence in front of the Skopje Criminal Court, where the suspects who were arrested in the morning were taken before a judge.

Police on Tuesday morning detained Cavkov, the former head of the uniformed police, and several VMRO DPMNE MPs over the storming of parliament in April.

They are being charged by the Organised Crime Prosecution with serious crimes against the state.

BELGRADE - The Macedonian Opera and Ballet has decided to send the entire proceeds from the play Faust, staged as part the May Opera Evenings in Skopje on May 22, as aid for the people badly hit by the recent massive flooding in Serbia, the National Theatre in Belgrade has said in a release.
