Man dies in controlled mine explosion due to poisoning
A worker has died of carbon monoxide poisoning in a controlled mine explosion in the western province of Manisa's Soma district.
A controlled explosion was carried out at the mine operated by a private company in Soma's Eynez neighborhood at around 5 a.m. on April 11.
Soldier kills three others before committing suicide in Turkey's west
A soldier in the Aegean province of Manisa killed three other soldiers before killing himself on June 11, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.
The soldier, who reportedly suffered a nervous breakdown and was identified only by his initials N.A., opened fire in a gendarmerie station in Manisa's Kula district.
