Two officers killed, 35 wounded in massive car bomb attack

Two Turkish police officers have been killed and 35 other people wounded in a massive car bomb attack carried out by militants of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in the country's southeastern town of Nusaybin amid a fresh offensive by the militant group that killed two soldiers in another town nearby. 

Curfew declared in Mardin's Nusaybin district

A curfew has been declared in the Nusaybin district of the southeastern province of Mardin until further notice, the governor's office has stated.

The Mardin Governor's Office announced that a curfew has been declared in the entire district so that security forces can fill in ditches and remove barricades erected by the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants.

Syrian migrants attack gendarmerie in southeastern Turkish tent city, five injured

Five security forces were injured after Syrian migrants in a tent city in Turkey's southeastern province of Mardin reportedly attacked guards over allegedly being poisoned from the lunch at the camp. Some 17 Syrian migrants were detained after the incident. 

Seven soldiers wounded in land mine explosion in southeastern Turkey

Seven soldiers were wounded Dec. 22 when a land mine planted on the road was detonated as a military vehicle was passing in the southeastern province of Mardin.

Gendarmerie forces were patrolling the area in the Dağiçi locality near Bagok Mountain when the explosion occurred.
