Akkan Suver, the Marmara Group Foundation president, has been awarded with the "Decoration of Honour in Gold" by the Austrian State during a ceremony held by Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen at the Austrian Embassy in Ankara. 

The Marmara Group Foundation will hold the 21st Eurasian Economic Summit with its partners on April 11-12 to discuss the relationship between technology and politics, bringing together current and former statesmen, business people, opinion leaders, NGOs and religious representatives from all over the world.

The president of the Marmara Group Foundation, Dr. Akkan Suver, has been awarded with a special merit medal by Albania for his works on peace and stability in the Balkans.

Speaking during the medal ceremony on June 9, Albanian President Bujar Nishani stated that Suver had worked to foster peace, stability and coexistence in the Balkans with the NGO that he leads with modest means.

Turkey will not break with the West, Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Mehmet Şimşek said April 5, adding that Ankara wanted to enhance relations between the two parties.

President of the Marmara Group Foundation Akkan Suver, fashion designer Çiğdem Akın and vice president of Istanbul Ready-Made Garment Exporters' Association (IHKIB) Mustafa Gültepe came together for a press conference on March 30 to give detailed information about the upcoming 20th Eurasian Economic Summit.

The 20th Eurasian Economic Summit, an Istanbul-based forum that is marking its 20th year, will address a wide range of regional issues, focusing on the challenges faced by the EU, efforts against terrorism, and migration, under the annual headline of "Humanity at Crossroads."

Some 40 countries and five presidents will attend the 20th Eurasian Economic Summit, a prestigious gathering organized by The Marmara Group Foundation in international arena. The summit 'Humanity at a Crossroads' will be held between April 4 and 6 in Istanbul 

Azerbaijan has shown that it is a strong country by responding to the heated conflict with Armenia over the Nagorno-Karabakh region, according to the country's energy minister, who added that Azerbaijan's main aim was to solve the dispute with diplomatic efforts.

The Marmara Group Foundation has granted, by unanimous decision, veteran businessman Jak Kamhi with the title of honorary president at an extraordinary general assembly, as the Istanbul-based non-governmental organization also reelected Dr. Akkan Suver as its president.
