Bora Storm: Rhodes and Limnos declared in state of emergency
Rhodes and Limnos have been declared in a state of emergency by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, following requests from the mayors of both islands. The formation of committees to assess the damage caused by the Bora storm has also begun.
Fatal landslide claims one life in Afyonkarahisar
In the Central Anatolian province of Afyonkarahisar, one person has died as his vehicle was trapped under piles of soil torn from high sections due to a landslide, another one was injured.

Dust cloud expected to hit several provinces
A dust cloud approaching from Africa is expected to hit several provinces in Turkey, authorities have warned.
The dust cloud descended on the provinces of Eskişehir, Bursa, Kütahya, and Bilecik on April 17.

Storm set to batter Marmara region
The Meteorological Service has issued a storm warning for several provinces in Turkey's Marmara region.
The strong wind is expected to hit the provinces of Istanbul, Edirne, Kırklareli, Tekirdağ, Kocaeli, Sakarya and Yalova starting this morning.

Heavy Rains in Scotland and England: Completely Impassable Streets in Glasgow
Glasgow was flooded just days before the opening of the climate change summit. Serious floods were caused by torrential rains in south-west Scotland and north-west England.
In Scotland's largest city, some streets have become completely impassable after heavy rains. Public transport was seriously damaged, trains were canceled.

Heavy rain hits Istanbul as flights canceled
Heavy raining has hit Istanbul after the General Directorate of Meteorological Service issued a warning for citizens earlier on Aug. 7.
All flights from Atatürk Airport in Istanbul have been canceled until further notice due to the severe weather conditions.
Precipitation is expected to last during the night.
