Slovenian archaeologist Ivan Šprajc and his team have discovered the remains of a Mayan city in the rainforest in the south of Mexico, which was an important regional hub of the indigenous society some 1,000 years ago.

Mexican anthropologists have announced that they have discovered human-built pits dug 15,000 years ago to trap mammoth, believed to have been the first find of mammoth traps set by humans, according to ABC.
