Nunn renews PAO contract
In the wake of Panathinaikos' qualification on Tuesday to the Final Four of the Euroleague basketball championship in Berlin later in the month, the Athens club confirmed on Wednesday that the former Miami Heat guard Kendrick Nunn, who dazzled fans during the playoffs, has renewed his contract with until the end of the 2025-2026 season.

Retired NBA stars Tony Parker, Dirk Nowitzki, Dwyane Wade and Pau Gasol and legendary San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich were among those inducted on Aug. 12 into the Basketball Hall of Fame.

Serbia's Nikola Jokic named MVP of NBA finals
DENVER - Serbian basketball player Nikola Jokic has been named the Most Valuable Player of this season's NBA finals.
Jokic led the Denver Nuggets to a 4-1 victory over Miami Heat in the final series, averaging 30.8 points, 13.5 rebounds and eight assist per game.

Butler inspires Heat victory over Mavs
Jimmy Butler scored 35 points as the Miami Heat snapped their three-game losing streak to inflict a damaging 129-122 defeat on the Dallas Mavericks on April 1.
Heat talisman Butler produced a typically dynamic performance to steer Miami to a precious win, leading the scoring from 12-of-16 shooting while laying on 12 assists.

LeBron jersey sells for $3.7 million
A game-worn jersey of basketball superstar LeBron James sold for $3.7 million at auction on Jan. 27, five times more than the previous record for one of his shirts.
The sale comes with interest even higher than usual in the 38-year-old LA Lakers icon as he nears the NBA's all-time scoring record.
