Electricity Tariffs: at 1.6 cents per kilowatt-hour the exceptional support in August
At 1.6 cents per kilowatt hour, the extraordinary support on electricity bills for August consumption is set at 1.6 cents per kilowatt hour, the Ministry of Environment and Energy announced.
Thus, the final price for the majority of consumers (which depends on the tariff of each provider) is formed below 15 cents per kilowatt hour.
Electricity bill subsidies to be lower as wholesale prices ease
The subsidy provided to household electricity bills is expected to range between €10-15 per megawatt-hour in August, the Ministry of Environment and Energy estimates.
Incentives for energy storage projects
The Ministry of Environment and Energy aims for greater and faster penetration of storage units into the electrical system, redesigning tenders and subsidies to deal with the problem of green energy cuts, at a time when production of renewable energy sources exceeds demand.
