MLSP: Nearly 102,000 Employees from over 7,400 Companies to Retain their Jobs
A total of 7403 job retention applications from 101 849 employees were submitted under the 60/40 measure at labor offices across the country as of April 27. So far, applications from 1979 employers for job retention of 28 674 people have been approved. The assessment is made within 7 working days after application, the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy specified.

CITUB Wants Bulgaria to Ratify the Convention against Workplace Violence
The Confederation of Independent Trade Unions of Bulgaria (CITUB) sent a letter to the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy a few days ago, asking the government and the National Assembly to ratify Convention 190 of the International Labor Organization, which deals with non-violence and harassment in the workplace, announced BTA.
6.6% Increase in Pensions From July 1, 2020
Increase in all pensions by 6.6% from July 1, social minister Bisser Petkov announced on the BNT. In addition to more money for retirees, the 2020 draft budget also includes more resources for a personal assistant for people with disabilities.

MS project: Poverty Line to Become BGN 363
From January 1, 2020, the poverty line should be BGN 363 - this envisages a draft decree of the Council of Ministers defining the poverty line, published for public discussion on the website of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy and the portal for public consultation. The deadline for discussing the project is October 27, BTA reports.

1000 Cases of Violence Against Children are Registered in Bulgaria Only for this Year
About 1,000 cases of child abuse are registered in 2019 by the Agency for Social Assistance. Most cases were registered in Sofia, Montana, Varna, Veliko Tarnovo. This was reported today by Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Policy Zornitsa Rusinova to the delegates of the two-day regional conference aimed at preventing and dealing with violence against children, the social ministry said.
