Skouries workers to block roads in protest actions against Greek government decision to shut mining site
The workers of ‘Hellas Gold’, the subsidiary of Canadian gold mining company ‘Eldorado’, decided after a long union meeting to take action in protest against the Greek government’s decision to shut down the mining operations at Skouries, Chalkidiki, in northern Greece.
Govt cancels special rise in electricity bills
The Ministry of Productive Reconstruction, Environment and Energy is cancelling the increases to the special duty for the reduction of gas emissions (ETMEAR) which had been decided by Greece's power regulator RAE. The amendment concerning this is to be included in the first draft bill to be submitted to Greek Parliament.

State Department Official discusses energy security during visit to Greece
