500 Terminals for e-vignettes will Operate Across Bulgaria from 2019

Electronic vignette stickers will be sold at 500 terminals in the country. Drivers will be able to buy them via a mobile application or through the Road Infrastructure Agency website. The first tests of the terminals were made in the presence of journalists yesterday, 18th of September, and the system will come into effect from the beginning of next year.

The Ministry of Regional Development requires municipalities to tighten up rehabilitation of apartment buildings control.

Minister Nikolay Nankov insists that on-site inspections be carried out by representatives of the municipality and the construction supervision at least once a month during the implementation of the renovation works of the building.

Inspections of Pedestrian Crossings Begin across the Country

An Inspection of pedestrian crossings will be carried out across the country, Bulgaria's chief prosecutor, Sotir Tsatsarov said at a Ministry of Interior briefing on 21st of December. Tsatsarov added the inspection was initiated by the Prosecutor's office and will be assigned for implementation to the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Regional Development.

Romania Probes Deputy PM Over Corruption Claims

Romania's National Anti-Corruption Directorate, DNA, summoned Deputy Prime Minister Sevil Shhaideh for a hearing on Friday to inform her that she is a suspect in a graft case.

Shhaideh, who also heads the Ministry of Regional Development, told journalists she is not at liberty to disclose more information because the investigation is underway.
