Cabinet approves new hirings

The cabinet on Monday approved 19,181 new hirings for different state services, of which 4,016 will bolster the beleaguered National Health Service, more than 1,000 will go to education, 1,050 will benefit the Citizen Protection Ministry, and more than 800 will be appointed to firefighting and other related tasks.

Nurseries: 20,000 applications on the first day

The first day of the platform’s operation saw 20,000 applications from eligible voucher recipients seeking admission to nurseries and access to creative activities for school-aged children, teenagers, and individuals with disabilities for the 2024-2025 period. This was reported by the Minister of Social Cohesion and Family, Sofia Zacharaki, in an interview with SKAI radio.

The first international tender for the utilization of unused state properties is expected to be launched within the year, with the aim of having residences built by 2025, some of which will be allocated with socioeconomic criteria and a low price to people aged up to 39.
