Türkiye's passenger car market slows down in October
The Turkish automotive market experienced a slowdown in October, with passenger car sales dropping by 8.4% year-on-year, according to data released by the Automotive Distributors' and Mobility Association (ODMD).

The combined sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles declined for a fourth month in a row in July, data from the Automotive Distributors' and Mobility Association (ODMD) has shown.
The market contracted 17.5 percent year-on-year in July when a little more than 94,000 vehicles were sold.

Auto market shrinks 22 percent in April
The combined sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles declined by 22.3 percent in April from a year ago to around 76,000 units, the data from the Automotive Distributors' and Mobility Association (ODMD) showed on May 3.

Auto market expands by 31 percent in February
The combined sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles increased by 30.6 percent in February from a year ago to a total of 106,000 vehicles, according to the data from the Automotive Distributors' and Mobility Association (ODMD).

Auto sales rise more than 55 percent in October
The combined sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles (LCV) increased by 55.4 percent in October from a year ago to 101,367, data from the Automotive Distributors' and Mobility Association (ODMD) have shown.
In the previous month, sales were up 55.9 percent year-on-year to around 97,000 units.

Ford to introduce new models to local market
Ford is preparing to introduce its Bronco Sport, Edge and F-150 models to the Turkish market for the first time.
Those models are expected to be made available to Turkish consumers starting from the end of 2023 and at the start of 2024.
Due to the homologation issues, initially, 70 units per model will be offered in the local market.

Passenger car sales slow in August
The annual increase in passenger car sales slowed from 109 percent in July to 88 percent in August, the data from the Automotive Distributors' and Mobility Association (ODMD) have shown.
Last month, a total of 66,131 passenger cars were sold on the local market, down from around 86,000 cars sold in July.
People from the auto industry had expected sales to slow in August.
