Montenegro Rushes Through Anti-Lobbying Law
Montenegro's government on Thursday approved a new bill that imposes limits, rules and penalties on lobbying.
With penalties of up to 20,000 euros, the government aims to curb lobbying-related corruption in the public sector - the illegal involvement of public officials, failures to report contacts with lobbyists, as well as receipts of gifts and services.

Montenegro to Put Arms Exporter up For Sale
Montenegro's government on Thursday launched a tender for the sale of the state-owned arms trader, Montenegro Defense Industry, MDI, and a majority stake in a factory for the production of plastic explosives, Poliex.
With annual turnovers of 30 million to 50 million dollars, MDI and Poliex are the most important components of the arms industry in Montenegro.

Montenegro Plans to Legalize Gay Marriages
Montenegro's government on Monday announced that the country will allow same-sex marriages in the near future.
Jovan Kojicic, Human Rights Adviser to the Prime Minister, said Montenegro was drawing up the legal framework to permit same-sex partners to legalize their relationships soon.
