A Tourist has Died while Climbing Vihren Peak

A tourist has died while climbing Mount Vihren, FOCUS reported, referring to the Mountain Rescue Service (MAS) of the Bulgarian Red Cross. The incident was about 5.30 am this morning. A guide and two tourists left the Vihren hut to the Vihren peak. During the climb, one of them slipped and fell, and as a result he died. The other two are in good condition.

The Mountain Service Saved a Man in the Troyan Balkan

Mountain Rescue Service teams have saved a man in the Troyan Balkan, FOCUS News reported.

The man has been declared for a search. He has left from the hut "Kozya stena" to the chalet "Haidushka pesen". The signal for him was submitted by his parents to the SCP. The rescuers found the man in good health and took him back.

NIMH: It Will be Sunny Today, Hot in the Afternoon

Atmospheric pressure will be a little lower than the average for September, and will remain unchanged during the day. Today will be sunny again, hot in the afternoon. There will be a light northwest wind over the Danube plain, southeast wind in the eastern and southern regions. Maximum temperatures between 29°C and 34°C, in Sofia around 30°C.

Weather in Bulgaria Bad for Mountain Tourism Today

The weather will be mostly sunny with only temporary increase in clouds, almost no rain. There will be light northeast wind. The daily temperatures will rise and reach highs of 23°C to 28°C, in Sofia 25°C. This is the weather forecast reported from the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH) with the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, quoted by Focus News Agency.
