The Turkish Armed Forces repaired and maintained the Syriac Orthodox Church of Mar Tuma (Saint Thomas) in the northeastern Syrian city of Ras al-Ain, the country's National Defense Ministry said on July 14. 

Turkish forces have neutralized 1,162 terrorists in operations within the country and outside its borders this year, the National Defense Ministry said on May 30. 

The terrorists were neutralized in 181 large- and medium-scale operations, ministry spokeswoman Maj. Pınar Kara told a news briefing.

The Turkish navy on May 25 started the Sea Wolf 2021 drill in the Aegean and Eastern Mediterranean waters.

In a caption with a video of the drill shared on Twitter, the National Defense Ministry called the Turkish navy "the lightning claw of the waters."

Foreign Affairs Minister Bogdan Aurescu recommends Romanian citizens in Israel to be "extremely vigilant, prudent and avoid the areas under a state of emergency, as well as those affected by the conflict".

A Turkish soldier was killed and four others wounded in an attack on a supply convoy in northern Syria, Turkey's National Defense Ministry said early on May 11. 

"In the Operation Spring Shield zone, one of our hero fellow soldiers was martyred and four of our heroic fellow soldiers were injured in the rocket attack on our supply convoy on May 10, 2021," the ministry said on Twitter.
